It is easy to forget where you used to be.
It is hard for me to remember being the person who wore these jeans that I am holding in my hands in this video.
It feels like a distant memory or like a long lost friendship.
As I think about that girl that I used to be, it is about so much more than the size of jeans I wore.
I was a completely different person than who I am today.
This is where my passion of weight loss lies. I truly believe that in order to lose, and more importantly maintain, a significant amount of weight loss, you become a different person on the other side.
In fact, I believe that you HAVE to become a different person in order to even ENJOY the weight loss.
I am so passionate about helping women lose weight so that they too can have the courage and confidence to DO, BE, and HAVE everything that they want.
It is so easy to get caught up in thinking that we have so far to go.
Sometimes, we need to take a moment and remember how far we have come.
Today was a day of gratitude.
Gratitude towards myself for deciding that I was worth it. 💕
Do your mornings feel like Christmas Day as a kid, EVERYDAY?
Let's talk about mornings...
Would you consider yourself a "Morning Person"?
I know that I sure as heck do not! Or at least not until recently...
My life allows me the option of sleeping in every day of the week. So guess what I would do? Sleep in everyday.
I didn't really see it as a big deal since I didn't NEED to get up.
However, deep inside, I sure wanted to be a morning person. I mean, who doesn't want to WANT to get up in the mornings and actually ENJOY it? I know that I did.
I decided that it was time to take action.
After trying out all kinds of different tips, tricks, and methods, I can honestly say that I AM MORNING PERSON NOW!
Not only do I actually get up early, but I seriously LOVE my mornings. I am so excited every day I wake up.
I used to say "A good life is one where you don't have to set an alarm." and guess what? I do not set an alarm! I did in the beginning in order to create a new habit, but I have not for well over a month now. No need. I am up early exactly when my body is ready and ready to rock my day starting with a powerful morning.
This did not happen overnight. In fact, it took me just about 5 months to create a morning routine that I truly LOVE. 5 months may sound like a long time, but I am willing to bet that if you don't make any changes, you will still not be a morning person 5 months from now.. and you will still wish you were.
So let me ask you... why did you get up this morning? Was it because you HAD to? Or because your WANTED to?
This concept has been on my mind this week and today I had an opportunity to be uncomfortable.
I completed a high ropes course. This thing was way up there!
As we were strapping up to start the climb, I wasn’t nervous. I was actually excited.
After a few steps up the tall pillar to the top, my heart started racing. I had a thought of going back down and not participating, and then I heard my inner voice remind me that discomfort is where growth happens. So, on I went.
Once I got to the first tiny platform, it was time to choose my route and start walking across wires, ropes, or swinging platforms. In the wind and rain nonetheless.
After finally committing to my first path, I took my first step. Ah!
By the end, I felt much better. That first step was by far the hardest.
Isn’t is funny how that works? Once we get started, the rest seems to be MUCH easier.
Do you have an area in your life that would require you to be uncomfortable but you also know it could be the step you need towards being, doing, or having all that you want?
The first step is terrifying, the next few are exhilarating, and the rest are amazing.
It is ALWAYS worth it
Your growth is ALWAYS worth it
YOU ARE ALWAYS WORTH IT
"I don't know"
How many times a day do you say this?
Did you know that just by say thing this, you will stay not knowing?
Our brains are designed to take the easy way out any time it sees that opportunity.
When you say " I don't know", it gives your brain the excuse to stop searching for the answer.
The next time you say to yourself..
- "I don't know why I am feeling mad/sad/lonely/frustrated"
-"I don't know why I overeat"
-"I don't know why I don't go to the gym/drink more water/eat more veggies".
Stop and ask yourself...
- "What if I did know? Then what would the answer be?"
- "If I just had to guess, what could it possibly be?"
- "What are 5 possible answers even if they may be completely wrong?"
You will be amazed at how your brains loves to search for the answers to the questions you ask it to.
If you find yourself resorting to "I don't know" more often than you would like, I would love to help you figure out the answers.

I have been in a wardrobe rut...
More specifically, I have not shown up looking (and therefore FEELING) very good about myself.
It is amazing what clothes and doing your hair/makeup does for our confidence and energy levels.
As many of you know, I lead fitness classes a few times per week. I also workout more days than not. And lastly, I work from my home office for much of my time. These are GREAT EXCUSES to stay in workout clothes, sweats, pajamas, or my onesie (onesies are heaven on a cold day).
I recently realized that this action (or lack of action) implies that getting cute isn't for me but it is for others. Am I not important enough to get dolled up? HECK YES I AM!
Starting today, I am committed to dressing for the person I want to be rather than the person I am.
Can you relate?
Are you someone that has goals of one day dressing a different way once you have the body you want which would then in turn make you feel confident/sexy/cute/desired?
What if I could teach you how to get that feeling NOW? In the exact body you have... It is possible.
If you are ready for a change, message me to schedule a free call to see if you and I would be a good fit for coaching together.
I have been exactly where you are and I know how to get you out of it. ❤
Lets talk about honoring commitments.
Why is it that so many of us are able to follow through with commitments that we make to others so much easier than to ourselves?
Are we not as important? Does our word mean anything?
This is an area that I used to struggle with... a lot. I would have the best of intentions by setting goals and plans to achieve bigger and better things, then when it was time to take the steps to make it happen.. my brain would somehow talk me out of it. Or I would just simply "forget".
Do you forget things that are actually important to you? I bet not. And if so, rarely.
I have put a lot of energy into changing the way my brain works when making commitments. I can now say that I AM IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO SHOW UP FOR MYSELF.
I love being in service of others, but you can only give so much without replenishing yourself. (Remember to put your oxygen mask on first)
Now when I make a commitment, it is as good as done. There is no ambivalence when it's go-time.
Do you find yourself bailing on you? How has this effected you? Do you even trust yourself anymore?
How about when you tell someone close to you about your new commitment? Do they believe in you? Or are they justified in being a bit skeptical as to whether you will see that goal through?
How many times have you committed to losing the weight for good?
"Starting tomorrow I am committed to eating healthy and going to the gym" you tell your husband. And his response? Hopefully encouraging.. but maybe a bit skeptical as well? Do you blame him?
You owe it to yourself to learn WHY you do this and more importantly, HOW to stop.
YOU ARE WORTH IT. ❤
Today I was not “feeling” like working out. Mostly because I was ingrained with my daily tasks and super focused.
When I planned out my week, weight lifting was scheduled for today.
My brain started to give me all kinds of good reasons to just skip it.
“You are getting so much accomplished. Stay focused.”
“What’s one workout going to do?”
“What’s the harm in missing a workout?”
And on and on.
Then, I remembered that I started a new way of setting my fitness goals and tracking once I have completed a workout that would leave an obvious miss on my planner that I would have to look at for the rest of the month.
So just like Mel Robins would want me to do, I said “5-4-3-2-1” and boom 💥 got it done. 💪🏻
Find what motivates YOU to complete the goals that you set for yourself.
For me, “checking it off the list” gives me the dopamine response I need to make it happen.
What motivates you??
AH! I am fired up!!
Yesterday I took a huge leap of faith and decided to bet on ME.
I hired a business coach to teach me and guide me towards creating the coaching business of my dreams.
This was a scary decision as it required a chunk of money but also because by literally putting my money where my mouth is, I better show up and do the work.
This work is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. To have a "job" where my number one priority is to continue to become the best version of myself and then help others to do the same, is like a dream come true.
Many of you know that throughout the past 7 years or so, I have been "coaching" as much as people were willing to listen. Whether you have sat in my chair getting your hair done or just had a casual conversation with me, there was probably some talk about self development, a strategy or app I recommend, how to lose weight, or just some positive takeaway when times are tough. I LOVE coaching and helping people.
I am so excited to continue on this journey of living a life true to my WHY, my passion.
You can live in your place of purpose too. Regardless of what job you currently have, you too can have an amazing and fulfilling life. The first step is figuring out what fires you up.
-Where in your life do you feel the most fulfilled?
-What are you doing already? (like how I have been "coaching" people for years just because it felt natural)
-What is something you can make money doing but you would do it for free?
